Local student Paul Campbell couldn’t quite believe his luck when he was called for an audition for a part alongside BAFTA nominated Paul Bettany. So imagine his delight when he was actually told he had been selected to play a Galapagos native in this new epic.

‘Creation’ is a new film about the life of Charles Darwin, the British Scientist and controversial author of ‘On the Origin of Species’ which laid the foundations of the theory of evolution and transformed the way we think about the natural world.

The 16-year, from Halesowen, old is studying for a National Diploma in Acting at Kidderminster College. So far he has spent 6 days filming on location in picturesque Cornwall.

Paul commented, ‘It’s been a fantastic experience and an honour to be working alongside someone such as Paul Bettany. I can’t quite believe it’s happened to me. I took up acting about fours years ago and would never have dreamed that I would have had an opportunity like this so soon.’ ‘Creation’ is scheduled to be released in 2009.
