IT in the Community  

Can't get to College? Let us come to you...

Kidderminster College arranges a number of courses for adults in the surrounding community. These range from classes in basic computer skills and IT to helper courses in Maths and English.

Most of these are completely free of charge, and you don't need to be unemployed to enrol.

We can reach anywhere in the Wyre Forest … Sutton Park Primary School, Franche Primary School, Chaddesley Corbett Primary School, Cookley Sebright Primary School, St. George’s Primary School, St. Bartholomew’s Primary School, St. Catherine’s Primary School, Wilden All Saint’s Primary School, Stourport Library and Bewdley Library.


IT in Stourport

City & Guilds IT Qualifications
We also offer the much sought after City & Guilds IT User qualifications, to give a general all-round understanding of some basic computing packages, at our outreach IT centre in Stourport-on-Severn. Programmes offered include:

Beginners:
Ideal for those with limited or no knowledge / experience of computers . You can learn and develop new skills up to Level 1 in a variety of software packages including Word Processing, the Internet and Email, Presentation Graphics, Databases and Spreadsheets.

Intermediate:
An opportunity to develop further skills learnt in Word Processing, The Internet and Email, Databases, Spreadsheets, Presentation Graphics, and Desk Top Publishing.

Attendance Modes
Full Time study is based on 18 hours attendance per week. This can either be on Monday, Tuesday and a Wednesday morning, or Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday. Evening attendance is also available. Please enquire through Student Services.


IT in Kidderminster Library

Learning Centre - Kidderminster Library
We offer a range of courses via our workshop/flexible delivery scheme that will enable learners to achieve recognised qualifications, without taking exams in most cases at Kidderminster Library.

You can choose times to suit you and work in a friendly relaxed environment with experienced staff who will develop and individual learning plan designed to meet your own personal needs.

Courses range from beginners levels, where no previous experience is required, up to advanced level. We offer the CLAIT suite of qualifications, which are highly sort after by employers and are therefore ideally suited to those learners who wish to progress their careers or retrain.

Courses available include:
IT qualifications from beginners up to advanced -
Topics include wordprocessing, spreadsheets, database, desk top publishing, internet & email, web design, presentation graphics and many more.
