of the Course
The BTEC National Diploma is a two year full-time practical course, designed to be taken following GCSEs or equivalent, which allows you to experience a broad range of art and design activities.
It is a nationally recognised qualification that enables you to gain the professional skills and assemble the portfolio you need to go on to a BA (Hons) or Foundation Course.
Course Content
During the early stages of the course you experiment with a variety of materials and techniques including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, textiles, drawing, graphics, 3D and sculpture.
The later part of the course concentrates on the skills needed for your chosen area and develops your confidence in communicating ideas, opinions and creativity.

Successful Completion

| Yes, you will be asked
to bring along a portfolio of work demonstrating
an ability to benefit from a programme at

fee may be payable - please check with Student

| Study visits to museums,
galleries and other related sites. |
| We provide much of what
you need, but in support of this and to help
foster a personal professional attitude to
your studies, you will be asked to provide
yourself with basic materials and equipment. |
