These courses are ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the Art & Design field. Kidderminster College vocational art and design programmes are offered across a range of disciplines, including fine art, 3D, graphic design, textiles and photography. The will allow you to explore your creativity, learn new techniques and specialise in an area of your choice.

Level 3 Diploma in Sports Development Performance - NVQ

Course Content

The course allows learners to develop a range of high level personal and professional skills, which provides learners with experience within Sports Development. Learners will need to demonstrate competence within a variety of areas and include:
• Managing own resources and professional development
• Recruitment and selection
• Contribute to strategic development in sport and active leisure
• Leadership and management in sport and active leisure
• Prevention and management of substance misuse
• Prevention and management of abuse and aggressive behaviour
• Customer service
• Project management
• Facilitate and support the development of sport and physical
activities (community and/or education)

Progression routes: Could allow you to progress onto the following courses: NVQ L4 in Sports Management, Higher National Diploma (HND), BSc (Hon.) Sport and Exercise Science, BSc (Hon.) Sports Therapy Rehabilitation, BSc (Hon.) Coaching Science and B.Ed (teaching) or equivalent courses.
Duration: One year full time
Entry requirements: 4 GCSE passes at grades A-C, preferably including English, Maths and Science, or an equivalent related qualification.
Interview required: Yes.
Fee: If you are aged 19+ a fee may be payable. Please check with Learner Services.
Additional costs / materials required: Sport and exercise clothing and equipment - this varies upon location of activities - please discuss at interview.
