Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts: Dance
Course Content
The course provides intensive, practical training in dance technique and choreography plus grounding in theoretical analysis and appreciation. Learners take part in practical classes every day, covering a range of contemporary techniques, ballet, tap and street jazz. Learners work towards a major performance each term and have the opportunity to work with professional dancers.

| Progression routes: | Many of our learners gain places at the most elite dance schools and universities in the country including the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, the Laban Centre and Middlesex University. |
| Duration: | Two years full-time |
| Entry requirements: | 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above. |
| Interview required: | Yes. Candidates will be invited to take part in a technique class and interview. |

| Additional costs / materials required: | Dance kit and performance clothes, recommended reading and visits to see professional work. |
