Course Content
To be successful in popular music requires technical ability and creativity. This course is built around those aims and will also broaden both the learner's knowledge of music as well as focusing on areas vital to personal development. It encourages learners to work both as part of a tightly knit team and also as individuals, to create, arrange, play and understand a wide variety of music for many situations.

| Progression routes: | Successful completion could allow you to progress onto these courses: Higher Education courses in subjects such as music, performance, music in education or music management. |
| Duration: | Two years full time |
| Entry requirements: | Minimum 4 GCSEs, grade C or higher with the preferred inclusion of Music or an art based subject. |
| Interview required: | Applicants will be invited for an interview and audition. Applications from learners with less than 4 GCSEs but previous relevant experience will be considered sympathetically. Mature applicants welcome. |

| Additional costs / materials required: | Tours, trips, visits and workshops - all optional. Instruments and microphones are essential. |
