These courses are ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the Art & Design field. Kidderminster College vocational art and design programmes are offered across a range of disciplines, including fine art, 3D, graphic design, textiles and photography. The will allow you to explore your creativity, learn new techniques and specialise in an area of your choice.

Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Computer and Networking Technicians

Course Content

The course will assist learners in developing a range of high level skills, which focus on skills needed within the computing sector specialising in networking and system support. Learners will be able to achieve a Diploma which is equivalent to 2 A’Levels and typically covers the following topic areas:



  • Computer systems

  • Information systems

  • Computer networks

  • Managing networks

  • Network systems security

  • Communication echnologies

  • IT technical support

  • Organisational systems security

  • Maintaining computing systems

  • Installing and upgrading software

  • IT system troubleshooting and repair

This qualification provides the initial skills and knowledge that will enable you to progress onto degree level study or employment.

Duration: One year full time.
Entry requirements: 4 GCSEs at grades A-C, preferably in Maths and English or an equivalent qualification.
