These courses are ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the Art & Design field. Kidderminster College vocational art and design programmes are offered across a range of disciplines, including fine art, 3D, graphic design, textiles and photography. The will allow you to explore your creativity, learn new techniques and specialise in an area of your choice.

Level 3 Access through IT

Course Content

The course is designed for learners without A-Levels or other Level 3 qualifications who wish to gain a good understanding of the technical disciplines of Computing and IT in order to gain entry into higher education. Learners will also develop the core skills required to enable them to prepare for a successful degree programme as well as undertaking learning within the following typical areas:



  • Configuring computer systems

  • Software development and design

  • Database applications

  • Systems analysis and design

  • Networking

  • Network security

  • Website development

  • Web server scripting

  • Computer animation

This qualification provides the initial skills and knowledge that will enable you to progress onto degree level study.
