AS Drama and Theatre Studies is one of a suite of A-Levels courses chosen to complement our range of full-time Level 3 courses, particularly Creative Industries courses.

The AS is split into two units. Unit 1 is a theoretical unit, which makes up 60% of the overall qualification. Learners will study one play prescribed by the exam board as well as a collection of pieces from a variety of genres chosen by the centre.

Unit two is practical and makes up 40% of the overall qualification. Learners will apply techniques learnt in weekly classes to the performance of a short extract from a contemporary theatre piece.
