Course Content
This course is suitable for learners wanting a work-related qualification which reflects the knowledge, skills and understanding required in the sector. The Level 2 Diploma provides opportunities for learners to prepare for entry into employment, to work towards the achievement of an apprenticeship in the Construction sector or to progress to further education vocational qualifications. The course typically will include:
- Structure of the Construction Industry
- Health and safety, welfare and sustainability in the Construction Industry
- Science and maths in Construction
- Construction drawing techniques
- Exploring carpentry and joinery and trowel operations
- Building services techniques
- Performing carpentry, brickwork, plumbing, and electrical operations
