Kidderminster College vocational art and design programmes are offered across a range of disciplines, including fine art, 3D, graphic design, textiles and photography. The will allow you to explore your creativity, learn new techniques and specialise in an area of your choice.

Level 1 IMI Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

Course Content

This course is designed to provide an introduction into working in the motor vehicle industry. Learners will develop their practical skills and learn theory. Learners will cover the following aspects of vehicle maintenance:



  • Health and Safety

  • Basic vehicle construction and layouts

  • Basic removal and replacement of light vehicle clutches, exhaust systems, suspension dampers, braking system components and standard tyres

  • Basic front wheel alignment

Jobs and Careers

It may be possible to gain employment in the motor industry or to continue further study
