These courses are ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the Art & Design field. Kidderminster College vocational art and design programmes are offered across a range of disciplines, including fine art, 3D, graphic design, textiles and photography. The will allow you to explore your creativity, learn new techniques and specialise in an area of your choice.

Level 1 BTEC Diploma in Workskills

Course Content

The course focuses on helping people acquire the soft skills that employers are looking for – Attitude, Behaviour and Communication. Learners will also undertake work placement, interview techniques, teamwork and vocational skills in a wide variety of areas as well as being able to enhance their literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

Jobs and Careers

You will develop a good basic knowledge of employment skills within a range of vocational areas.

Progression routes: Could allow you to progress onto further full time courses, including Level 2 Diplomas in Work & Employability skills.
Duration: One year full time.
Entry requirements: No formal requirements, however a reasonable standard of literacy and numeracy, a suitable level of general education and an appropriate reference will be required.
