Level 1 BTEC Diploma in Vocational Studies
Course Content
This course is designed to provide learners with experience and skills in a variety of vocational subjects. Learners will develop a range of subject and employability skills to assist in choosing which vocational pathway to pursue either in further education or in the workplace. This course also aims to develop personal qualities and attitudes, social and work skills and build confidence; all essential skills for working life. You will study a broad range of subjects which may typically include:
- Customer service in Travel and Tourism
- Developing skills in IT
- Healthy living
- Personal skills for the Public Services
- Health and Social Care needs
- Taking part in Exercise and Fitness (theory and practical)
- Digital animation
- Planning a trip to an attraction
- Digital photography
- Self-assessment
- Career progression
You will also undertake functional skills.
Jobs and Careers
Career routes will be investigated during the course but many areas of employment could be progressed into or further study at a higher level.
