These courses are ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the Art & Design field. Kidderminster College vocational art and design programmes are offered across a range of disciplines, including fine art, 3D, graphic design, textiles and photography. The will allow you to explore your creativity, learn new techniques and specialise in an area of your choice.

CACHE Level 1 Diploma in Caring for Children

Course Content

The units cover 37 credits for the diploma.


The units studied cover both personal development and the development and growth of babies and young children.


They may also explore; the value of a healthy lifestyle and diet; communication and learning; aspects of play; the importance of building childrens confidence.

Progression routes: Could allow you to progress onto Level 2 qualifications such as the BTEC 1st Diploma in Children's Care, Learning & Devlopemnt.
Duration: One year full-time
Entry requirements: No formal qualifications are necessary. School leavers should have a reasonable level of literacy and numeracy e.g. grades D - G.
Interview required: Yes. Plus reference and CRB clearance.
Fee: If you are aged 19+ a fee may be payable - please confirm with Learner Services.
Additional costs / materials required: CRB payment, uniform for placement and course trips.
