Course Content

The course is designed to enable learners who wish to develop high level skills within the electrical and electronic engineering sector and typically covers the following:



  • Health & Safety

  • Communications for engineering technicians

  • Electrical technology

  • Features and applications of electrical machines

  • Principles and operation of three-phase systems

  • Electrical Installation

  • Electronic measurements and testing

  • Engineering project

  • Mathematics for engineering technicians

Jobs and Careers

This qualification enables learners to gain skills and knowledge within the electrical and electronic field of engineering and can lead to careers within the engineering field.

Duration: One year full-time
Entry requirements: 4 GCSEs at Grade A-C, preferably in English and Maths and a Science or an equivalent qualification.
Interview required: Yes.
