Mayor Opens Kidderminster College's New Extension

Kidderminster College were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Kidderminster Cllr Anne Hingley, to open the college’s new £1.2 million extension on Thursday 2nd February 2012.  She was joined at the opening ceremony by the Principal of Kidderminster College, Andy Dobson, College Governors and VIPs.

The Mayor presided over the unveiling of a plaque to mark the opening of the extension and she also gave a short speech, spoke with students and guests, and networked with leading figures in the Kidderminster business community.  The Mayor was particularly interested to meet and talk to young people about their aspirations and interests, and see how the college is playing its part in helping learners fulfil their potential.  The Mayor had a guided tour of the college and its facilities and she was very impressed to meet staff and students, and see the fantastic work happening here.

The Mayor was then treated to a deluxe manicure in the college’s Elements Salon by learner Toni Bird, who is studying on the Level 2 Beauty Therapy course.
